Meanwhile, 3,212-foot high Angel Falls has 2,647 feet uninterrupted drop. It was named for American bush pilot Jimmy Angel who first saw the falls sometime in the 1930s. The plane that he was flying when he first sighted the falls has been restored and displayed outside the Ciudad Bolivar.

More than 300 islands composed the Los Roques which is located in the northern part of La Guaira. A national park has been established in the area in 1972. Meanwhile, southeast of Bolivar and on the south side of the Orinoco River is La Gran Sabana which is described as very beautiful and wild.

Lots of rain should be expected in the southern and central parts of Venezuela. Climate in the Andes depends on the altitude, with the highest being the coldest.

The ideal time to travel to Venezuela is from January to April. The rainy months of May to November are the best for visiting the Angel Falls. Commuter airlines have been linking several Venezuela flights, including Aero Ejecutivos, Sol America and Aeropostal.

There are several bus companies providing decent services across the country, including Rodovias and Expresos Los Llanos. A good option to travel is to rent a car. This is because petro is very cheap in Venezuela therefore, it is not so expensive to rent a car.
