The terraces are known for their almost 5,000 feet altitude and about 70 degrees slope. The terraces consist of four areas—Banaue, Klangan, Hungduan and Mayoyao.
For a piece of the Philippine history, head over to Cebu where you can find a big Christian cross and the first flag planted by explorer Ferdinand Magellan for the country of Spain in 1521. Today, the cross hangs inside a small chapel right beside the magnificent Basilica Minore del Santo Nino.
