The Crystalline Beauty of Madagascar

Located in Africa’s southeast side, Madagascar is the world’s fourth largest island. It is made up mostly of crystalline rocks and described often as a plateau rising on the eastern coast to descend into the west coast’s strip of rocks.

The Madagascar Climate

Subtropical environment is what you get if you visit Madagascar. However, this type of environment varies depending on the geography and altitude. The eastern portion of the country is the wettest with occasional rainstorms and cyclones which you could never get in the western area of the country. Hot temperature prevails in Madagascar’s southwestern and western areas. Cooler and milder weather prevails from May to October making this season busy for travelers to the country. As much as possible, avoid travelling to the country from November to April when cyclones make their appearance.

The easiest method to get around Madagascar is by renting a bicycle. Taxis and buses are also available, albeit at irregular schedule. Visas are required for all travelers to Madagascar. You can get one before or upon your arrival to the country.
