Jordan: An Emerging Leader in Arts, Music and Literature

The epic movie “Lawrence of Arabia” has brought the country of Jordan into the attention of many travelers around the world. Despite the country being situated in the Middle East, Jordan is a relatively peaceful country and is fast becoming a favorite playground of people interested in arts, music and literature.

The country is lacking in the natural resources department but it has been trying to enhance its culture to boost its tourism which it relied on to restore its economy. And it seems the country is succeeding in its effort as its city of Amman had been chosen the Arab Cultural Capital by UNESCO.

Aqaba is not frequented by tourists so you can enjoy various underwater and outdoor activities in solitude.

Not to be missed is a visit to Madaba’s Mosaic Map at the St. George’s Church. The attraction was discovered sometime in 1896. It is fascinating because of its over 2 million mosaic pieces forming a map of the Holy Land.
